Row over Mulayam DA case

A political row has erupted over reports that the CBI has given a clean chit to Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav in an eight-year-old disproportionate assets case against him. While the CBI claimed that no such decision has been taken and the probe was still on, the BJP slammed the government for “giving a clean chit to SP chief.” The saffron brigade claimed that with the SP reportedly shifting its stand and coming out in support of the Food Security Bill, the CBI has “decided to file a closure report”. The CBI, however, maintained that the matter “ was under investigation following the direction of the Supreme Court and no final decision has yet been taken.”
Opposition of “politicking” on food security bill and dismissed suggestions that the CBI was going soft on Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav in the disproportionate assets case to garner his support on the crucial legislation.
Asked about reports that CBI might file a closure report in the eight-year-old disproportionate asset case against Mr Yadav to get SP’s backing for the food bill, Congress spokesman Sandeep Dikshit said “this kind of speculation keeps happening”.
“The Opposition is politicking if they had wanted, the Food Security Bill could have been passed earlier. But the government was forced to take the ordinance route because of the Opposition’s stand,’’ Mr Dikshit added.
On its part the CBI clarified that the matter was presently under investigation as per the directions of the Supreme Court. The inquiry, the CBI said, was still underway and is in its final stages no decision has been taken yet. The agency also clarified that as and when the probe is completed the court will be apprised about the findings.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
