Rs35cr seized from Chiranjeevi's son-in-law’s house in Chennai
The Income Tax Department seized 35 cartons containing bundles of currency from Chiranjeevi's son-in-law Vishnu Prasad’s house at Poes Garden area in Chennai. The actor-turned politician said he has nothing to with the money, according media reports.
Local Income Tax officials who raided the house of Prasad who is married to the elder daughter of Chiru, Sushmita, seized documents and cartons of unaccounted money.
The raid was conducted on Friday and Saturday and officials confirmed to a news channel that each carton contained Rs1 crore in denominations of Rs500 and Rs1,000.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad said he has noting to do with money found at his daughter’s house in Chennai.
