A joint secretary of city unit of RSS, Mohan Agnihotri was stabbed last night in Nandanwan area by two unidentified persons, police said on Tuesday.

Agnihotri, who was rushed to a private nursing home, is out of danger now, sources said.

Police said, Agnihotri (40) was returning home when two unidentified persons stopped his two wheeler and attacked him with knives, injuring him in the neck and stomach. People from nearby areas came out and rushed him to a private nursing home for treatment.

The motive behind the attack could not be known, but police have registered an offence under section 307 IPC
