Sadhu beaten to death in Gujarat

A 45-year-old 'sadhu' was allegedly beaten to death by an irate mob in Gondal town of this district in Gujarat, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place yesterday when Ramdas Shyamdas, the caretaker of Lord Hanuman temple in Gondal, about 36 kms from here was caught in a compromising position with three women in the temple premises by some followers, they said.

Enraged, they started beating the sadhu, police said.

He was found dead later in the day, police said adding his body has been sent for post mortem and further investigations are on.
