Sai Baba critical, docs edgy, security raised

Sri Satya Sai Baba’s condition deteriorated on Wednesday making his doctors edgy and spreading panic among his devotees.
In view of Baba’s sinking health, the state government put Puttaparthi and Anantapur district on high alert. A four-level security blanket has also been thrown around

Prashanti Nilayam to prevent any untoward incidents. On Wednesday, anxious devotees rushed to the Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, where the Baba is undergoing treatment, after the evening medical bulletin stated that his health was critical. Prayer meetings were also held all over town. Government sources told this correspondent that members of the Sri Satya Sai Seva Trust were in constant touch with the MHA updating ministry officials on Baba’s health.
In view of Baba’s deteriorating health and anticipating an influx of devotees, DGP K. Aravinda Rao strengthened security in and around Puttaparthi.
