Saradha: Cops grill TMC MP

A day after the Trinamul Congress leadership was left red-faced by their Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh’s rebellious outburst, he was grilled by Bidhannagar police commissionerate in the Saradha chit fund scam.

On Saturday, deputy commissioner of police (detective department) Arnab Ghosh questioned the journalist-turned-parliamentarian who earned a show cause notice from the party. “I was merely an employee of Saradha Group. However, a wrong message has been sent to the Trinamul Congress workers and Saradha Group depositors that I was involved in the scam. This is a pre-meditated conspiracy and I have been victimised. I, however, cannot say who is hatching the conspiracy,” he said, after emerging from the Bidhannagar commissionerate’s office in Salt Lake after a four-hour long questioning.
