Sasikala is out once for all: Jayalalithaa
Chief minister and AIADMK chief J. Jayalalithaa firmly shut the door on onetime friend Sasikala and her kin on Friday, ruling out a patch-up with the coterie expelled about two weeks ago.
She told an AIADMK general council that any attempt by those expelled for betraying the party to threaten cadres would be 'unpardonable'.
“Such behaviour creating a doubt about the leadership cannot be tolerated,” Ms Jayalalithaa said and warned party cadres against yielding to pressure from the expelled.
Addressing the general council at a marriage hall in Vanagaram near Chennai, she said some expelled members were trying to have a hold on party cadres.
“They say they will be back in the party soon and would regain influence. They have been warning party cadres with severe consequences if they are criticised,” Ms Jayalalithaa said.
