SC allows Italian ship Enrica Lexie to leave Indian waters
Supreme Court on Wednesday has allowed Italian ship Enrica Lexie to leave Indian waters. The apex court has also given consent to four marines and six crew members on board to leave Indian shores along with the vessel.
Italian government and the vessel owner has assured apex court that the marines and crew members will be available when required by Indian legal authorities. Supreme Court directs owner of the vessel to execute a bond of Rs. 3 crore before Registrar General of Kerala High Court.
The apex court also mentioned that its order won't affect investigations and prosecution in the case of killing of two Indian fishermen.
