Seek FBI probe: Congress ridicules BJP on Narendra Modi visa letter issue

New Delhi: Congress took a pot shot at BJP for attacking CBI, saying it can now appeal to US probe agency FBI to investigate the matter relating to a letter by MPs to President Barack Obama against Narendra Modi as it does not have faith in the Indian agency.
"Letter of MPs was signed in India & used in USA. Due to lack of faith in CBI, BJP may appeal to President Obama for an impartial inquiry by FBI," Congress General Secretary Shakeel Ahmad said on Twitter.
Ahmad, who is in London on a personal visit, had raked up a controversy last week with his remark linking the birth of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen to 2002 Gujarat riots. BJP has been accused the government of misusing CBI, more recently on the issue of Ishrat Jahan alleged fake encounter case.
Ahmad's comment on the letter purportedly written by 65 MPs asking the US administration not to change its policy in denying visa to the Gujarat Chief Minister comes even as the party has refrained from either endorsing or condemning the move, saying it is for the signatories to respond.
Some of the MPs including CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, whose signatures have found on the letter, have already denied their role into it.
The US had taken a decision not to give a visa to Modi in the aftermath of post-Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002. BJP has said that there should be probe into the recent issue of alleged forging of signatures of some MPs on a letter to Obama demanding that Modi not be given a visa.
The party has alleged that it appeared to be the handiwork of the "dirty tricks department" of the Congress

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
