Senior leaders to celebrate Vajpayee's b'day in UP

BJP will celebrate the 87th birthday of its patriarch and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in various parts of Uttar Pradesh on December 25, party sources said here.on Monday

Senior party leaders will take part in the veteran leader's birthday celebrations amidst fanfare in the state, they said.

While former party president Murli Manohar Joshi would attend the birthday celebrations at Varanasi, leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley would take part in the function to be organised in Meerut, the party sources said.

BJP national vice-president Kalraj Mishra and party's state president Surya Pratap Shahi will participate in the birthday celebrations in Noida and Moradabad respectively, they said.

Birthday celebrations will also be organised in Lucknow, Kanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Jhansi, Bulandshahr, Auraiyya and other cities where senior party leaders will propagate the party's ideology among the workers on the occasion, the party sources said.
