Setback for B S Yeddyurappa: Two KJP MLAs move closer to Congress
Bengaluru: In an interesting development, two legislators of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) have met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and requested him to help them retain membership of the Assembly in case Lingayat strongman B. S. Yeddyurappa decides to merge his outfit with BJP.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, sources close to the Chief Minister said KJP vice president B.R. Patil and former minister Gurupadappa Nagamarpalli were advised by the leader to remain united till the last minute after the duo and another KJP legislator Guru Patil Shiraval reportedly expressed their willingness to join the Congress.
Nod for KPSC scam report
The state Cabinet on Friday accepted the CID report recommending re-evaluation and re-interviews of candidates selected by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) in 2011.
