Shah spoke to accused cops 12 times: CBI
The CBI probe into the Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter case has revealed that former Gujarat home minister Amit Shah allegedly spoke to the accused police officials at least 12 times around the encounter date. Prajapati was killed by Gujarat cops in an encounter on December 28, 2006 near Ambaji in Sabarkantha district of the state.
According to sources, probe has further revealed that the accused, including the former minister, even prevented the investigating officer (IO) of the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case to meet Prajapati in the prison. Prajapati, who is believed to be an eyewitness in the alleged Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, was killed when he allegedly tried to escape from the custody while being shifted back to Gujarat from Rajasthan after attending a court trial.
