Sharad Pawar takes a dig at Kalmadi

Even agriculture minister Sharad Pawar seems to feel that it is good to have a jibe at Suresh Kalmadi on the mess surrounding the Commonwealth Games preparations.

Mr Pawar, whose rivalry with Mr Kalmadi goes back a long time in Pune politics, recalled a joke doing the rounds currently to hit at the Games Organising Committee chief.

"These Games have become a joke, Nowadays I am hearing a story that due to severe criticism, the chief of the organising committee decided to commit suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling. But ironically, the ceiling came down. Maybe the quality of ceiling was not good," he said speaking at a public function here.
