Srikakulam: Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is the Congress’ conspiracy against the people of Seemandhra which the ruling party hatched with an eye on political gains, alleged YSRC leader Y.S. Sharmila.
She made the statement while concluding her 230 day-long ‘Maro Praja Prastanam’ Padayatra (foot march) at Ichchapuram on Sunday. She concluded the yatra in the presence of YSRC honorary president, Y.S. Vijayalakshmi.
Speaking on the occasion Sharmila made a scathing attack on the Congress accusing it of taking a decision to divide the state without considering the interests and rights of Seemandhra people. She accused the TD and its chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for maintaining silence on the issue. She alleged that the Congress decided to divide the state to win the 17 MP seats in the Telangana region.
She warned that Seemandhra will become a desert like Sahara if the state is divided. She criticised the Congress for proposing division without developing all regions equally. She feared that the availability of water is a big question for Nagarjunasagar, Srisailam and Polavaram projects.
YSRC honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi decided to divide AP to make her son Rahul Gandhi the PM by ignoring sentiments, interests and history of Telugu speaking people.
With an aim to escape CBI cases and to weaken YSRCP in Seemandhra region TDP Chief Chandra Babu supporting Congress party in dividing state she criticised. She said that Chandra babu is ready to sold Hyderabad for Rs 4.50 lakh crore to Telangana people to get political gain.
At the programme the YSRCP honorary president, Y.S.Vijaya Laxmi said that AICC president Sonia Gandhi is decided to divide state to make her son Rahul Gandhi as PM by ignoring sentiments, interests and history of Telugu speaking people.
She criticised that the Congress and TDP are trying to weaken YSRCP and Y.S.Jagan’s image among public by resorting chief tricks. She appealed people not to believe Congress and TDP leaders as they are trying to cheat for the sake of their political interests.
