Shettar sworn in as Karnataka chief minister

Jagadish Shettar became the third Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader to head the party government in four years after he was sworn in as Karnataka chief minister on Thursday.

Governor H.R. Bhardwaj administered the oath of office in the glass house of Raj Bhavan in city centre.

Meanwhile, state BJP President K.S. Eshwarappa and R. Ashoka sworn in as Deputy chief ministers.
