Shiney gets 7 yrs’ RI for raping maid

The Sewri fast track court on Wednesday sentenced actor Shiney Ahuja to seven years rigorous imprisonment after being found guilty of raping his maid. The actor was tried under Section 376 (rape), Section 339 (wrongful restraint) and Section 506 (threatening to kill the victim) of the IPC.
The actor’s wife, Anupam Ahuja, who was present in the court, said, “My husband is innocent. We will appeal against this conviction in the high court.”
