Shourie charge: Cong hits back

Questioning the timing of allegations agai-nst Prime Minister Manm-ohan Singh by former Union minister Arun Shou-rie, the Congress dubbed his move as a “diversionary ta-ctic”, and said no communication had ever taken place between him and Dr Singh. Mr Shourie claimed he had informed the PM about DMK leader A.

Raja’s “loot” nearly 17 months back. Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said: “It is most unfortunate and most regrettable... It is a travesty of the truth and a conscious attempt to mislead and misinform, confuse and confound.”
