Sibal to Jaitley: Apologise
Human resources development minister Kapil Sibal said Sunday that Mr Arun Jaitley’s comment — made public via WikiLeaks — that the BJP was using Hindutva as an “opportunistic tool” has exposed the party’s real face, and demanded an apology from him.
Both Mr Sibal and Mr Jaitley are eminent lawyers who have stopped practising in the courts for now. Mr Sibal also asked senior BJP leader L.K. Advani and the RSS to tell the nation “what they now think about Jaitley”.

March 27: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday remitted the remaining sentence of Indian convict Gopal Das, detained here for 27 years, on “humanitarian grounds”.
Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said this was done to honour a recent appeal by India’s Supreme Court. The court, acting on a writ petition by Mr Das’ brother, made the appeal while noting it had no jurisdiction to give a direction in the case.
