Sirisha appears before police

Hyderabad: Speculation and search ended as the ‘missing’ young Telugu actress Sai Sirisha dramatically appeared before the Banjara Hills police on Tuesday evening.
She gave a statement against her stepfather Neelaprasad Rao, who she alleged had sexually harassed her. Police said that being a minor, Sirisha will be produced before the court, since a missing case has been filed.
The Banjara Hills police will also probe the allegations against her stepfather and if these are valid, will book a case against him for sexual harassment, senior officials from West Zone said.
“She appeared before the police and gave a statement saying she had left on her own as she was unable to bear the sexual harassment by her stepfather,” Banjara Hills ACP E. Shankar Reddy said.
Sirisha revealed that she had been living with her friend in a hostel all this while. “She said that she was living in a hostel since she went missing. We are producing her before a magistrate to record her statement,” the ACP said.
Police said that now it is a missing case, which will be altered once she gives her statement before the magistrate. Talking to the media, Sirisha said that her stepfather used to make sexual advances to her when her mother went out of home.
