Six dead in West Bengal road accident

Six people were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry coming from the opposite direction in West Bengal's Hooghly district, police said early on Sunday.

The accident took place on the Durgapur Expressway at Haripal on Saturday evening, police said.

Five people died on the spot and one person succumbed to injuries on way to a hospital.
