Six killed in lorry-MUV collision in West Bengal

Six persons, including two women, were killed and three others injured when the MUV carrying them collided with a lorry at Domjur area of Howrah district on Sunday morning, the police said.

The accident occurred near Ankurhati check post when the Kolkata bound vehicle cut through a gap in the divider and changed flank of NH-6.

A speeding truck that was coming towards that point rammed into the MUV killing five of its nine occupants on the spot, the sources said.

Another person died later in hospital where the three seriously injured occupants were admitted. The victims were yet to be identified.
