Slipper flung at TGV convoy

Kurnool: Tension gripped Kurnool on Sunday when a group of Samaikyandhra activists threw a slipper on the convoy of minor irrigation minister T.G. Venkatesh demanding that he quit his post to protest the state’s bifurcation.
A large number of activists of Advocates JAC and Teachers JAC blocked the way of the minister’s convoy while he was returning from an inauguration of a private hotel and demanded his resignation.
The minister tried to convince the agitators but they continued shouting slogans. As the minister got into his vehicle to leave, one of the activists threw a slipper at the minister’s vehicle. Angered by this, Venkatesh lashed out at them.
