Inspired by the Slut walk in New Delhi and Bhopal, a number of organisations on Sunday took out a similar march demanding women's right under the banner of Besharmi Morcha Lucknow.

Carrying placards which read ‘Women are precious, don't treat them as sex objects’ and ‘Women don't be afraid to speak up’, a number of youths participated in the march which started from a mall this afternoon. The objective of the Besharmi Morcha Lucknow was to fight against sexual violence and molestation all over the world, an organiser said.

The issue was not confined to Lucknow, Bhopal or Delhi, he said adding it was the question of injustice meted out to women across the world. The march was supported by NGOs and some web portals.
