Soren does the maths, claims he has 42 mlas
The JMM, its eyes set on heading a new government in Jharkhand for which it got the support of the Congress and the RJD, on Saturday claimed to have the support of 42 MLAs even as it worked on garnering the magic number.
JMM chief and former CM Shibu Soren and his son, Mr Hemant Soren, who is likely to be the CM in the JMM-Congress-RJD government, were greeted by party workers in Ranchi after Soren Jr returned from New Delhi. With the JMM, Congress and RJD having 18, 13 and five MLAs each, respectively, in Jharkhand’s 81-member Assembly, six more MLAs are needed.
