SP suspended for nexus with cop in hostage drama

The home department on Tuesday suspended the SP of police transport organisation, E. Lakshmi-narayana, for colluding with police head constable K.N. Giriprasad Sharma in an hostage drama.

In a CD released by the head constable, SP Lakshminarayana was found drinking with the former constable who had been dismissed earlier.

In the suspension orders, the principal secretary of home department, Ajoyendra Pyal, said Lakshminarayana sat for drinks with the constable on September 12 and tarnished the image of the police department.
