Accused Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi has sought permanent exemption from personal appearance during day-to-day trial of the 2G spectrum scam.

Her counsel submitted an application Tuesday before special CBI judge O.P. Saini who issued notice to the agency seeking reply by March 14.

Ms Kanimozhi said because of daily appearance before the court, she was unable to fulfill personal and professional obligations as a mother and a political leader.
