Stabbed Indian student's family members get visa to visit UK
The father and an uncle of an Indian student from Hyderabad, who was critically injured in an attack in London, have got visa to visit UK, the family said on Sunday.
The victim Praveen Reddy's father Sudhakar Reddy and an uncle have got the visa in Chennai to go to London and they would leave for UK on Sunday night, Praveen's brother Jayasekhar Reddy told PTI here.
He said the condition of Praveen, a student of MBA, continued to be critical though it was better from what it was on Saturday. The family had been informed that Praveen needed another surgery, he said.
External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna spoke to Praveen Reddy's father on Saturday assuring him of all help in getting visa.
The External Affairs Minister also spoke to the acting High Commissioner Rajesh Prasad, asking him to extend all possible help to the family.
Praveen Reddy, who was stabbed in the London borough of Newham on Friday last, is the youngest son of Sudhakar Reddy, a businessman. He is currently pursuing MBA in London and was planning to return home.
