Student in bhillai creates bomb scare

In a bizarre incident, a student of a school in Bhillai, nearly 25 km from here, on Wednesday resorted to a prank spreading the rumour of a bomb in the institute to “bunk classes”, the police said.

According to the police the Class 8 student made a hoax call to the principal of the school informing her that a powerful bomb, planted in the campus, would go off after an hour.
He identified himself a Naxalite. “The principal Rita Palli immediately called us to trace and diffuse the bomb. We acted swiftly by launching search operation to detect the bomb with the help of detectors and sniffer dogs after evacuating the school. But, the bomb scare turned out to be a mere hoax”, city superintendent of police, Kabilash Tondon said.
