Student’s three Indian flatmates to face charges
Three flatmates of Hyderabad resident J. Praveen Reddy, who recently completed his MBA in London, have been charged with attempted murder by Scotland Yard.
The Met police charged Amareshwar Arava, 25; Sai Kishore Balguri, 25; and Nishanth Puttapaka, 23, with the attempted murder of Reddy, who was due to return to India this week.
The three Indian men will be presented at Thames magistrates’ court at Bow Road, east London, on Monday.
The 26-year-old former student was admitted to Newham General Hospital at 8.20 am Friday morning with multiple stab wounds. The police was only told about the stabbing after he was admitted to hospital.
Reddy shared a flat in Newham borough of east London with three Indian men and was severely injured at the flat in Kent Street, Plaistow.
The police, however, did not reveal the reason behind the stabbing of Reddy by his flatmates.
