Students assault professor ahead of college exam

A professor was today allegedly assaulted by some students, including a college union leader, here following a tiff over frisking ahead of an examination.

The students entered into a brawl with the staff over their frisking at the entrance gate of the college at Baradari and later manhandled Prof Inam Ali.

A police case has been registered against the student leader, Happy Yadav, and others in this connection, college principal, R.P. Singh, said.

Agitated over the violence, teachers demanded arrest of the students and warned of agitation if no action was taken against them.
