Sudarshan’s body to arrive in Bengaluru today
Bengaluru: The body of city-based exporter B.N. Sudarshan (50), who was killed in a terror attack that took place at a mall in Nairobi, is expected to arrive here on Thursday.
Sudarshan’s friend Anil, who is in Nairobi, is in constant touch with the Indian High Commission and is making all necessary arrangements to send the body to Bengaluru. It is said that four close friends of Sudarshan’s from Ghana will accompany his body to the Banashankari crematorium, where his final rites will be held.
B N Ramprasad, the victim’s brother, told this paper that they were expecting the body on Wednesday. “Due to some formalities, however, there was a delay in sending the body. According to the information provided by Anil, the postmortem was not conducted till 10 am on Wednesday. Upon completion of the autopsy, the body will be sent to Bengaluru via Dubai.”
It may be recalled that the exporter left the city on Friday and was in Nairobi during transit for six hours as his final destination was scheduled to be Ghana. Tragedy struck in those six hours when he went shopping at Westgate mall. He was unaware of the presence of the militants and went inside. He was shot dead point blank on his face.
Sudarshan is a resident of Bidadi and was also working for the export division of Abhimaani group.
