Sukh Ram gets bail

The Delhi high court on Monday granted bail to former communications minister Sukh Ram, suspending the five-year sentence awarded to him by a trial court in a graft case.

Keeping in view his old age (86) and poor health, Just-ice Suresh Kait suspended the sentence till disposal of the case. The court gave him bail considering he is a heart patient who also suffers from cervical spondylitis, as stated in the Tihar medical report.
