Supreme Court constitutes probe team on black money abroad
In a major development that could boost India's search to track down illegal wealth, the Supreme Court today set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe cash stashed abroad by citizens.
The committee will be headed by former apex court judge B.P. Jeevan Reddy. Former apex court judge M.B, Shah will also be member of the special team. A high-level committee constituted by the government to look into black money issue will become part of this SIT.
The Court also directed the government to disclose names of those issued a showcause notice by authorities in connection with black money case.
