T awaits consensus: PM
Hyderabad, Feb. 16: The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, on Wednesday said that his government was trying to evolve a consensus on the contentious issue of Telangana statehood through consultations with political parties.
Interacting with TV editors in the capital, Dr Singh also referred to the meeting that the Union home minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, had with political parties on January 6 to hand over copies of the Srikrishna Committee Report.
Dr Singh went on to add that the home minister will again meet the representatives of political parties to elicit their views on the subject.
