T-meeting likely in early Feb.
The eagerly awaited discussions over the Srikrishna Committee report on the controversial Telangana issue between the eight recognised political parties of Andhra Pradesh and the Union home ministry, in all probability, will take place in the first week of February.
According to sources, the exact dates for the proposed meeting is all set to be finalised after the return of the home minister P. Chidambaram from Davos on January 30.
Earlier, the government was contemplating of having the talks by the end of January. But as it was felt that some more consultations were necessary within the party, the Congress core committee that met on the January 22 decided to have it in the first week of February.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) boycotted the first meeting on January 6. This time, the Centre is expecting participation of all the parties.
It is not yet clear as to how many representatives will be invited this time from each party as last time the TRS stayed away from the meeting alleging that two people from every party were invited deliberately to seek divergent views over the issue.
