Tamasha artiste Lahu Khade passes away
Veteran “Tamasha” artiste Lahu Khade passed away in Kaulapur village of Sangli district in western Maharashtra after a brief illness, family sources said on Friday.
The end came on Thursday. He was 83.
Khade, who enthralled generations of Tamasha lovers in Maharashtra was popularly known as “Kalu” from the hit pair of “Kalu-Balu” in various Tamasha shows, and was known for his perfect comic timing.
The Kalu-Balu team comprising Khade and his twin brother toured Maharashtra extensively staging several performances of their act, which spread social messages against dowry and alcoholism.
