TDP mulls no-trust against AP CM
The Telugu Desam Party is planning to move a no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government in the ensuing Winter Session of the Assembly.
The TDP gameplan is to silence critics of party president Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu who accuse him of having an understanding with chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and protecting the Congress government from collapse.
It is also to confound YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao who have been taunting Mr Naidu to move a no-confidence motion instead of merely criticising the chief minister.
“We will move a no confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government during the coming Assembly Session. It could be either on the first day or on subsequent days. We will serve notice as per the rules,” Mr Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, TDP politburo member said.
“There are a number of issues which the government has failed to address, including farmers’ problems, corruption, irregularities, distress in agriculture sector, and rise in prices of essential commodities. We will take on the government on these issues in the Assembly,” Mr Ramakri-shnudu explained. He said the YSR Congress leader who challenged the TDP to move a no-confidence motion doesn’t know how many MLAs are with him.
