Technopark aims to tap social media
Kochi: It seems the motto of Technopark is 'better late than never' when it comes to entering cybersphere. Technopark, an autonomous society promoted by the state is yet to launch its promotional activities through social media where it can boast of only a modest presence at present.
To overcome this handicap Technopark has invited tenders from advertising agencies focusing on social media websites to market India's largest IT park in the government sector.
As per the tender, Technopark is planning to widen its reach and establish a web and social presence.
It is now in the process of creating and promoting Technopark Phase III and Technocity, one of the largest integrated IT townships.
According to Chief Executive Officer K.G.Girish Babu, Technopark invited tenders to market the IT park as in-house management would be tough given the circumstances. He added that they were planning to develop the website and ensure its presence on twitter and Facebook.
Interestingly, Infopark and the Cybercity here are also yet to launch their cyber media activities.
As per the tender, the IT park is planning to concentrate on destination promotion targeting investors across the globe.
