Teenagers abduct, kill Class 10 student for ransom in Pune

A 15-year-old boy in Pune was allegedly kidnapped and larter murdered for a ransom of Rs 50,000 by three teenagers, one of whom was his classmate.

According TV reports, the classmate, Akshay Bhagat, called Shubham Shirke to his house on Saturday afternoon where the other two boys were also present.

After few hours, Bhagat called Shirke's father and asked for the ransom, saying that his son's life was in danger.

Following the instructions Shirke's father left Rs 15,000 on a footpath that was collected by one of the boys who came on a bike.

But when Shirke didn't return home as promised by the kidnappers, his father filed a complaint at the police station and also gave them the number of the motorcycle.

Then police caught Bhagat, who confessed that the three had killed Shirke.

On Sunday morning Shirke's body was found in Dighi area.
