Telangana-Congress leaders to meet CWC members

Hyderabad: The Congress leaders from Telangana region would personally meet each member of the Congress Working Committee seeking their support for the formation of Telangana State.
Talking to reporters at the Secretariat here, Jana Reddy said that the each member of the CWC would be requested to support the demand for Telangana State and take a favourable decision during their meeting scheduled early next month. He hoped that the CWC would take a favourable decision in granting statehood for the region.
Jana Reddy also condemned the leakage of information about the Congress Core Committee meeting held in New Delhi on July 12 over the Telangana issue. He said that the information was deliberately leaked and was aimed at damaging the Telangana cause. He said that those who leaked the information were actually damaging the party's image among the public.
Earlier in the day, senior Congress leaders including MPs - Palvai Govardhan Reddy, Anand Bhaskar, Ponnam Prabhakar, V Hanumantha Rao and Rajaiah met Jana Reddy at his residence and discussed the strategy to be adopted for the CWC meeting.
