Telangana: KCR plans to meet Sonia, PM

Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief is today scheduled to arrive in New Delhi to seek an appointment with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi over the statehood issue.

The Telangana Joint Action Committee had earlier demanded a stand on the issue by the COngress and the party's state in-charge, Ghulam Nabi Azad, is also set to submit a report over the weekend.

A bandh, meanwhile, is being planned for the the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Friday.

RTC buses have already been off the roads.

MMTS services will remain cancelled between Secunderabad and Falaknuma from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon. All educational institutions, private and government, will remain closed.
