Telangana leads to ruckus in LS

The controversial Telangana issue surfaced in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday leading to three adjournments amidst acrimonious scenes. Members of the Congress, TDP and TRS vociferously raised the issue and demanded a statement from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The Congress MPs from Telangana region have also written to the Prime Minister demanding the recall of the governor of Andhra Pradesh E.S.L. Narasimhan.
Enumerating the reasons for their demand, they have alleged that Mr Narasimhan was exercising executive powers in violation of the Constitution and also interfering in the running of the state administration. In addition, the MPs have charged the governor with inciting violence by making “provocative statements” over the Telangana issue.
Outside Parliament, the president of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), K. Chandrasekar Rao (KCR) swore to disrupt proceedings in the House until the government spelled out a timeframe for the creation of a separate state. He also regretted the Prime Minister’s reticence over the issue. He told journalists outside Parliament, “The Prime Minister himself was present in the House, but he remained a silent spectator to our agitation. It is very unfortunate.”
Meanwhile, the Congress MPs were assured by finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and the political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, that the government will sort out the issue after the presentation of the Budget. After the meeting, Telangana MP Keshav Rao said, “The finance minister and Mr Ahmed Patel have told us that they will sort out the issue once the Budget was presented. Therefore, we have decided to follow the directions of the party.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
