Telugu actress Anjali goes missing after filing case
Hours after she accused her step-mother Bharathi Devi and Tamil film director Kalanjiyam of economically exploiting her, South Indian actor Anjali is missing from a hotel at Jubilee Hills since Monday, according to her brother Ravi Shankar.
She hit big time recently with the Telugu film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu
Mr Shankar lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police on Tuesday stating that she had come to Hyderabad from Chennai, and checked into the Daspalla Hotel at Road No 37, and went missing on Monday. He stated that her cellphone was switched off. South Zone DCP G. Sudheer Babu said the police had formed special teams to trace her.
The police suspects she has gone to Bengaluru. Sources said she has a relative at Vijaynagar Colony at Mehdipatnam.
The police said that Mr Suri Babu, who was with Anjali, had left the city by afternoon. “When we contacted him over phone, he said he had left the city on Monday morning. No further information can be revealed now,” a senior police officer from West Zone police said.
Anjali, who reportedly has given dates in this month for two new Telugu films, Balupu, and the Telugu remake of Bol Bachchan, has not responded to any of the production houses so far.
