Telugu Desam Party suspends another legislator
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has suspended another legislator for moving closer to YSR Congress party.
The main opposition party took the action against its legislator Taneti Vanita, who is reportedly planning to join YSR party. She represents Gopalapuram (SC reserved) constituency in West Godavari district.
The move came a day after TDP suspended a legislator for meeting YSR party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in jail.
Praveen Kumar Reddy, member of the assembly from Tambalapalli in Chittoor district, the native district of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, had called on Jagan, as the young MP is popularly known, in Chanchalguda Central Jail here.
Praveen Kumar Reddy is likely to join YSR party in the first week of November.
TDP received another jolt Tuesday evening when its legislator K. Harishwar Reddy announced that he is joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
The setbacks came even as Naidu is continuing his 'padyatra' or walkathon in Mahabubnagar district.
Naidu, who started the walkathon Oct 2, plans to cover 2,320 km across the state to meet people to know their problems.
