Terror suspect Afzal Usmani escapes from Mumbai court; arrest warrant issued

Mumbai: In a major embarrassment for the Mumbai police, Indian Mujahideen operative Afzal Usmani went missing on Friday right under the nose of the law-enforcing agencies. He vanished as he was being produced before a local court here.
When the judge asked the police to produce Usmani in connection with a case, he was found missing.
Usmani was wanted in connection with providing logistic support in terror cases and also was involved in the Surat terror plot.
