Terror wings watching J&K
Cross-border terror outfits are closely watching the deployment of Army troops in the Kashmir Valley. Central security agencies have intercepted conversations of a Hizbul Mujahideen activist based in the PoK, Abdul Inquilabi, talking to a suspect in the Valley suggesting that the Indian Army is troubling Kashmiris. During the conversations,
the Hizb activist is being informed about the progress of stone pelting incidents, the Army’s positioning and its lack of presence in Shopian and Pulwama. The Centre is closely watching the developments over the next 24 hours, ahead of the Shab-e-Mehraj, a religious function, on Saturday. Security forces have been asked to remain on high vigil over the weekend to avoid possible attempts of violence.
“Maine suna aaj fouj mangwayi hai (I have heard, today forces have been called,” asked Ab Inquallabi? “Haan pahunchi hai aaj thodi si (Yes, a few have reached today),” informed the unidentified person. “Srinagar ke ander fouj chhodi hai lekin idhar Shophiyan, Pulwama mein wahi hai, is niche ilake mein, yeni CRPF aur police (In Srinagar there is an Army, but in Shophiyan and Pulwama its only police and CRPF),” added the suspect, who is believed to be in Shopian. Among the terro outfits operating in Jammu and Kashmir, the Hizbul Mujahideen is believed to be one of the largest, with its cadres drawn from indigenous and foreign sources.
Inquiring about the curfew and troop movements in Kashmir, Inquilabi said, “Kya baat huyi hai?” “Pata nahi, halat kharab huyi hai (I do not know, the situation has deteriorated),” responded the suspect.
“Yeh Hindustani fauj panga le rahi hai Kashmiriyon ke saath. Yeh kahan Chhodegi inko (The Indian Army is troubling Kashmiris. It will not spare them),” remarked Inquilabi.
