Thilakan runs over two kids

Six-year-old Farzeen Khan and two-year-old Fathima were killed on the spot and their parents seriously injured when their autorickshaw collided with Malayalam film actor Thilakan’s speeding car at Pandikkad in Malappuram district on Thursday.

Both vehicles turned turtle after the collision. Firoz Khan was driving the autorickshaw and his wife Jaseena was in the back seat with the kids.

Locals rushed to the accident site, took out the bodies from the mangled autorickshaw and moved the injured to hospital.

Thilakan developed chest pain after the accident and has been admitted to Al-Shifa Hospital in Perinthalmanna.

Hospital authorities said the condition of the actor was stable.

Thilakan and his personal assistant Savitha, who was also injured in the mishap, were going to the shooting location of the film Ideal Couple in Nilambur from Ottappalam.

Savitha is a native of Kizhakkethil near Ottappalam. Pandikkad police has registered a case against the actor for rash and negligent driving.

Thilakan has not been keeping well for the past few years and finds it difficult move around without help.
