Three held for Tamang murder
Three persons have been arrested in connection with Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League president Madan Tamang’s murder. All three have been arrested from North Bengal. “Two of the accused were arrested from Kalimpong,” state director general of police Bhupinder Singh said. The two had received injuries in the firing that took place at the spot after the murder, he added.
Official sources revealed that the three accused persons have been identified as Sudesh Maity, Prashant Chhetri and Subhash Tamang. “Sudesh was arrested on Thursday evening, while the remaining two have been arrested on Friday. Prashant and Subhash have been admitted to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital,” IG CID-I Nirajnayan Pandey informed.
