TNCC general council has expired, says Thangkabalu
Former Tamil Nadu Congress committee president K.V. Thangkabalu, who quit the post two months back, onSaturday there is no general committee in TNCC and it had “expired.”
Announcing a function in memory of Congress’ Quit India Movement on August 9 here, he said all true Congressmen could attend it.
On that day, Vadivelu one of the three men he removed from the party, is organising a meeting at the TNCC office here.
Asked about the alliance for the local body polls in October, he said the high command would decide on that.
Terming price rise as “part of an international economic instability issue,” Thangkabalu said the state government cannot not wash its hands off the problem, but has to coordinate with the Centre in controlling it.
Asked about land grabbing cases being “foisted” against DMK as alleged by the party, he said, DMK themselves have said that they will face them.
