TRS, BJP tell youth not to end their lives over Telangana issue

Telangana Rashtra Samiti, spearheading the agitation for statehood for Telangana region and BJP on Friday organised rallies here and in Warangal to appeal to the youth not to end their lives over demand for separate statehood for Telangana.

The efforts by pro-Telangana outfits came in the wake of alleged suicides by some youths in protest against the "delay in formation of separate state".

TRS MLAs and leaders of the Telangana political Joint Action Committee (JAC) held a demonstration from Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram at Bagh Lingampally to Indira Park here.

"We appeal to the youth not to commit suicides. The youth should fight for Telangana but not end their lives," JAC convener M. Kodandaram said.

BJP leaders held a separate sit-in at Warangal.

They appealed to the pro-Telangana youth not to commit suicides and promised that BJP would make every effort for the formation of separate state.
